We debated whether to repair or remake the pump shafts, but in the end, the company decided to make new parts and agreed to contract Craftco to measure, draw, and manufacture new refining pump shafts. The required tolerances and shaft complexity meant it was no small task to consistently reproduce these parts to the requirements of the customer—however, Craftco stepped up to the challenge with improved designs and the customer trusted us to remake the pump shafts correctly.

Craftco’s final delivered product has since been proven to be extremely reliable, and by meeting time and cost requirements, Craftco decreased maintenance downtime. Craftco’s influence has reduced the rush of shaft manufacturing, eliminated resulting risk from hastily made parts, and produced an effective, quality product.
